Wait a fucking second, sorry, but the first one was _easy as fuck_ to notice as a cheat. I mean, I would feel ashamed of myself I got fooled by that. I could see it being hard to catch if this was mid-game, when a lot of land drops have already been missed so it's hard to keep track if the lands your opponent owns match the ones they have played throughout the entire game... but on fucking Turn 2? Your opponent plays a wasteland, you see they still have two lands on their field, and don't find anything strange? Sorry but doesn't matter how "smooth" the "sleigh of hand" was, if anybody manages to get cheated by they don't deserve to act as judges or commentators for a tournament.

You get to excited over a clear path to victory and you start telegraphing your moves. Keep your excited little meat puppets off rhe field till you KNOW what your game plan is. No need to be so frick'n touchie feelie. Of course it's another story when your trying to decieve and want them to think along a desired line of reasoning that will end up frick'n them up. Oh, wow, I was watching older videos, but I see, you made one fairly recently. Nice. I got a ? Do you think players cheat at MGT: Arena? I play mainly Historic ranked, and I see cards, and decks, that even with 150 cards, beat me in 4 turns. Is it bad shuffle mechanics within the game, do my cards suck, or is feasible an some level. Thank you for the videos, sad you got to cheat, and worst, WOTC should make and BAN, permanent, in my opinion.

The Judges should be the one to shuffle their decks.

My group plays on TTS, we had a friend of a friend hop in to play with us. I've got 3k hours in Tabletop playing magic so when this bozo tried to cheat in a 4 player game, I messaged the other two who I've been friends with for over 10 years and let them know. He waited until it was somebody elses turn and thought nobody was looking, then cloned a copy of his deck under the virtual table. This lets you see the order in which you'll draw your deck, as well as provide a handy resource of all of your cards in case you need to cheat one into your hand, which is exactly what he did. Luckily I was able to kill him before it got to his next turn but everyone watched him like a hawk from then on (Neglecting to tell him that we caught him). The guy who brought him in wasn't in the game at the time, and we didnt record it nor want to deal with the confrontation so we just kept quiet and watched him extra close. It took him a little under 2 weeks to try and cheat a maze's end from a deck he spawned in, even though Tabletop makes a noise and lags the fuck out when you spawn an entire deck. There will always be cheaters, even in a zero stakes games where everyone is supposed to be close friends, cheaters will cheat. I know for a fact that guy doesn't have anybody to play magic with after being banned from our server & black lotus collective. The worst part is, both times we caught him, I killed him before it ever came to his turn. He was new to the game and I guess by the time he realized it was looking grim it was really already over, which caused him to cheat the turn before he dies both times, never gets to play the cheated cards, then gets excommunicated from the boys. For people who hate losing they always end up taking the biggest L's

This is why I don’t consider this game to be competitive because it’s not based on skill there’s so much variables that you can’t control it’s not worth your time.

I watch your videos again and again, but what pains me is seeing the first clip every time--- where the player with black sleeves has his deck directly in front of himself, tilted KIND of to the side, and right next to his monsters. Not like a normal person, with the deck and grave comfortably to the side, in the same row against his monsters. If this was Yu-Gi-Oh, it would be in the 5th monster zone lmao

Amazon is for some time now just a scam seller for a variety of products like complete pc's, bicycle parts such as wheelsets, computer hardware, clocks, clothing and much much more. Discounts are often fake, descriptions are not correct, used products are sold as new or they are already damaged and the Amazon customer service seems to have the mind of a single-celled organism where every sentence over 10 words is too complicated to understand. And then we have the mastermind behind Amazon, Jeff Bezos, who predicts that Amazon will not survive very long. Yeah, what a surprise Nostradamus.

The combat thing is just wild to me lol. My magic rules isn't all that sharp, but isn't the engineer's trigger mandatory? It isn't a "you may" effect. Before he can "shortcut" to declare attackers, he'd have to resolve that effect. It seems weird that the judge would allow him to miss a mandatory trigger via a verbal "shortcut". It's one of those things that make me think, "I have way too much common sense to be a professional magic player." lol.

There's something about someone who is cheating at an event with prizes on the line, then you have people that cheat at locals for literally no reason other than their fragile ego lol. I remember playing some dude at a pre-release, I knew he missed a land drop or something and a quick inventory of cards on the field clearly showed he had 8 in hand. I asked, "cards in hand" as a subtle reminder to discard and he just kinda scrunches his hand together and plays it off, "seven". I just let him have it lol. It was just too surreal. Me, a 19 or 20 year old kid at the time and this dude who was in his 40's just subtly cheating at a locals event.

In 0:10 combo we also can use Triskaidekaphobia. It is not practical, but it is funny ( I guess.)

What formats were these decks? Is it all vintage? Was some of it legacy? Can I make any of the decks in modern?

It isnt your opponents job to correct you, so in the case of pithing needle, players should HAVE to know the name and say it concisely if they use pithing needle.

Fun and competitive can't be never in the same phrase

A game store near me got their hands on a Stop That! (the Un-set card) and had a Stop That! rule, where if someone is excessively flicking the cards in their hand, like Mr. Firstie, you could "Invoke the Stop That! clause" during friendly games only, letting you cast Stop That! without paying its mana cost if it gets really annoying. Naturally they had to stop that when someone tried invoking Stop That! in an actual local tournament. (They knew it was only for friendly games)

It's been like 20+ years since I played any live or tournoment so I know nothing but isn't there like some sort of list you put cheaters on and ban them? Also anyone wants to buy some mint Arabian nights Juzam Djinns?

As a blue control enjoyer I have to say that until I say “resolves” no other game actions are happening. Also if I were in the blue white control player’s position I likely would also counter the subtlety as if my opponent is clearly misreading their card there is no reason for me to let them be punished by their misplay while I am in full control and have the game on lock, I can quietly wait until it’s most opportune for me to capitalize on their misunderstanding.
